This job was recently moved to St. Louis as the division was acquired by a growing St. Louis based company. The job will consolidate financial and management reporting for the division and interact with Controllers and CFO's of the division's businesses with significant exposure to C-Level executives at the Divisional level.


The organization is a leading manufacturer with a diverse base of customers and its products are used in a wide range of applications, including elevators and escalators, commercial floor care equipment, material handling, golf and utility vehicles, vending machines, aerial work platforms, commercial dishwashers, and commercial food equipment. The Company operates in specialized niche markets. The Company is approximately $400 million in annual revenues. The Company operates through subsidiaries located throughout the US, Italy and China. The Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is the key accounting and analysis position on a lean corporate staff, providing a challenging position with opportunities for professional growth and future advancement within. Responsibilities include: Monthly consolidation and review of subsidiary financial statements. Monthly closing of corporate entities and account reconciliations. Monthly review of subsidiary working capital Implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley and monitoring of key controls Technical accounting research Management of accounting policies across all entities Accounting for derivative contracts used to manage commodity purchase prices. Serve as the Company's primary interface with external auditors Assist Senior Management in ad-hoc analyses


Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with approximately seven years of related experience and/or training. CPA and Big 4 experience preferable. Prior experience with consolidations, cost accounting for manufacturing industry, and international operations is desirable. Prior experience with Hyperion and/or Prophix a plus. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and solve complex problems independently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. A self-starter who can work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Must demonstrate uncompromising adherence to ethical principles. Must be proactive and demonstrate readiness and ability to initiate action. Ability to assume full responsibility and accountability for own actions.
