JOB DESCRIPTION

Opportunity: Accounting Manager – Middle market Architecture and Design firm Location: Pasadena, CA A well established, stable, 25 year old Architectural and Design firm based in Pasadena, CA is hiring a new Accounting Manager RESPONSIBILITIES: - All aspects of accounting, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and preparing financial statements - Working with ADP to process payroll. - Handling cash disbursements and collections - Preparing profit projections on a project basis and a company-wide basis - Projecting and managing cash flow - Interfacing with the external CPA firm, who prepare the company’s tax returns REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance - 5 or more years of accounting experience - Prior experience in a project oriented firm (Architecture, Construction, Advertising, Law Firm, Accounting Firm, or similar) - Payroll processing and reporting, working with a 3rd party provider such as ADP or Paychex - Experience with QuickBooks - Strong Excel skills - The ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections - An understanding and ability to apply principals of job costing, budgeting, and accounting - An ability to think analytically and a willingness to be hands-on while managing a multitude of tasks and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
