Large Global Bank seeks Assistant Vice President, Audit for Corporate Credit Risk Management Audit and key corporate services. Position will manage audit performance, evaluate internal controls, perform audit test work, report issues to management, and monitor emerging areas of risk, while improving audit processes.
 
Job Description:
Support planning of and execute risk-based audit of key controls within corporate credit risk management and other corporate service groups • Lead audit engagements and ensure all work is performed in accordance with standards • Develop audit programs as needed • Execute testing of areas and evaluate how the state of the control environment can be developed • Draft thorough audit reports for management, regulators and external auditors • Establish and maintain close working relationships across all levels of audit management • On-going monitoring regulations, emerging risks and industry best practices
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: 5 + years audit experience in the Banking/Financial Services sector in a regulated bank environment preferred • 4 year Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline • Experience auditing credit risk management and/or HR operations • Professional certification such as CPA, CIA, CFSA are preferred • Excellent research, investigative and analytical skills • Planning and project management skills • Excellent organizational skills - ability to multitask, prioritize and operate effectively in a changing environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive issues to management • Minimal travel
