JOB DESCRIPTIONBasic Function The Director of Bank Operations is responsible for providing the management for operational, process, vision and leadership for delivering daily bank operations support. Providing direction to utilize systems and solutions which provide cost effective bank related services in a constantly changing marketplace. This position will lead the specific operational support groups to provide an overriding solution to all areas of the bank and coordinate the mangers in planning and implementing processes and systems to support both distributed and centralized business operations to support the needs of our customers and front line associates. The Director of Bank Operations is the liaison between all areas of the Bank and will work with Business Systems, Unified Service Solutions, Information Technology and Wealth Management operations to effectively serve our customers. Responsible for the delivery of day to day support of all banking operational functions and work with others to provide the technology solutions, process improvement efforts within the operations area to promote efficiency and standardization across the company. The main areas of responsibility include the direction of the Management of the day to day support of Deposit Operations, Loan Operations, Treasury Operations, Card Services, Item Processing departments. This position has broad decision-making authority and is responsible for the overall budgeting and planning for the daily operations functions. Organizational Relationships This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Information Systems and Operations/Chief Information Officer. The Director of Bank Operations will be responsible for the direct supervision and performance of: Deposit Operations Manager Loan Operations Manager Treasury Operations Manager Card Services Manager Works with Information Technology, Business Systems, Unified Service Support and Wealth Management Operations personnel to provide direction for future solutions as well as the day to day management of these functions. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Work with other colleagues and management to identify and suggest areas of improvement to processes and policies. Management of day to day Operations functions. Lead process improvement initiatives within operations. Lead centralization and standardization of operational processes across the bank and in conjunction with other areas of the company. Supervise, direct, develop and evaluate the Operations Managers.
RELOCATION TO CENTRAL ILLINOIS REQUIRED Desired Skills & Experience Education, Training and Experience Advanced degree in finance, accounting, economics, management information systems or business administration or undergraduate degree with significant experience. 8 – 10 years experience: Bank deposit, trust or investment operations experience. Experience with cultivating business relationships and managing multiple priorities as a manager or unit head. Strong analytical skills. Experience working in a service environment. Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to make clear, logical, concise presentations to Board, executive management. Familiarity with banking laws and regulatory guidance. Strong project management and leadership skills. Management/supervisory experience Additional Desired Traits Sound judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to meet coverage and reporting requirements within established deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information, data. Excellent communication skills; ability to make clear, logical, concise presentations to Board and executive management. Ability to lead, mentor, and develop skills of Trust, Investment and Bank Operations staff. Ability to interpret banking laws and regulatory guidance, bank policies and procedures, and accounting guidance.
