Job Description:
The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support to sales, manufacturing, marketing, and engineering to ensure delivery of financial and operational goals. The analyst will play an integral role in the company’s forecasting cycles, cost modeling, variance analysis, and AOP process. The analyst will be actively involved in the monthly closing process to ensure accuracy of results. The analyst will also model internal and external trending patterns, identify marketplace opportunities, and develop short/long term strategic plans. The analyst will need to drive predictability and accuracy in our financials and ultimately provide management a basis to make sound business decisions. The analyst must in some cases create, and in other re-engineer processes that improve efficiencies, shorten cycle times, enhance standardization, and improve the quality of information. The analyst will compile and analyze results including cost and spending variance analysis, sales (price/volume/mix) and operating profit reconciliations. The analyst will ensure timely and accurate communication to management in support of these processes.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: 5 years of strong analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications: •Advanced proficiency in problem analysis and resolution •Understanding of corporate close and financial consolidation processes •Aptitude in both financial and operating systems is critical. Data mining and business modeling skills are essential •Excellent computer skills with expertise in spreadsheet (Excel), presentation (Powerpoint), charting/graphing, and database applications
