Our client, a global banking institution, seeks an Tax Manager to perform tax research and advise on international tax planning matters. This role will provide the oppurtunity to grow within a firm with top industry leadership and a strong financial position.
Job Description:
The International Tax Manager will report to the VP of International Tax and will be primarily responsible for providing research and planning support to the International Tax Team with regards to all aspects of International Tax. This will include: Subpart F planning (IRC secs 954(c) and (h), 956), restructurings, foreign tax credit planning and overall foreign loss modeling, withholding tax analysis for US to foreign and foreign to foreign payments over varying income streams, cash repatriation planning and other issues on an as need basis. A solid understanding of the Sub C reorganization provisions is a plus. Other responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: * Provide research and planning support to the VP International Tax with regard to the Transportation Business, Rail and Air * Provide input for models forecasting implications of business activity in relation to asset sales, stock dispositions, acquisitions and potential joint ventures * Provide general support to the international tax compliance team with a focus on transactions * Provide research and planning support to the international team on matters such as foreign tax credit planning, OFL analysis, analysis of hedging transactions, Subpart F and sec 956 planning, etc. * Advise on tax implications of new transactions
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: Minimum Required Skills and Experience: * Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance * CPA and/or other advanced degree (MS in Tax, JD, LLM) * 4-5 Years Tax Experience at a public accounting firm or a large multinational * Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, word, excel and PowerPoint
