An senior level oppurtunity to join a successful, stable financial services institution in northern New Jersey. The hired candidate will work with senior management to improve and execute their technology audit function.
 
Job Description:
The VP of Audit Technology will be expected to systematically identify potential control weaknesses within operational processes or system calculations, as well as to develop software and systems to support the Internal Audit function. In addition the VP of Audit Technology will work with senior management to develop systematic solutions for continuous monitoring of key controls. The VP of Audit Technology manages a staff of two audit technologist and interacts with the entire audit team to recommend automated solutions to, enhance audit techniques for effectiveness and efficiency, identify control weaknesses and perform continuous monitoring. The essential duties will require the individual to: - Apply extensive knowledge of auditing concepts and make recommendations that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of internal audits while meeting internal audit department objectives. -Understand the firm's core systems and associated data elements -Provide clear direction and requirements for developing, testing and documenting audit systems and software -Develop, test and document audit software on behalf of internal audit -Motivate and manage two audit technologist
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: Requirements: -BA / BS in Accounting, MIS, Computer Science or other related major - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -Creative thinker - 7 + years working in an audit related field including audit software development; preferably with banking background -Strong collaborative orientated leadership skills - Strong hands-on working knowledge of: relational and object databases, data mining, data analytics, querying utilities, application modeling -Advanced skills and knowledge with SQL 2005; data warehouse modeling, SSIS (Sequel Server Integrated Systems), SSAS (Sequel Server Analysis Services) and SSRS (Sequel Server Reporting Services) including strong SQL coding skills -Advance knowledge of MS Access and MS Excel -Advance knowledge of Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications -Understanding of Oracle databases and structures -Understanding of Business Objects - Exposure to financial applications such as PeopleSoft, InfoLease, Stucky, Loan-IQ a plus
