| As part of the audit team, you will provide attest services (audit, review, compilation) to privately held businesses and not-for- profit organizations in a timely manner. You will interface directly with clients delivering exceptional customer service and report directly to an audit partner. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: **Develop and maintain productive relationships with staff and clients. **Understand the clients’ industries and recognize key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments. Stay informed of general business/economic developments and their impact to the clients. **Prepare for audit by researching materials and regulations, understanding processes and information systems, performing internal control procedures, and assisting with preparation of risk assessment and audit programs. **Ensure compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; identifying opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure. **Perform analyses and audit procedures. Verify assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation. **Complete audit documentation by documenting audit tests and findings ensuring sufficient evidence. **Ability to prioritize and monitor work assignments. **Communicate audit progress and findings by providing information to audit partner and assisting in preparation of reports. **Maintain continued professional education as required by standards. Minimum Requirements: · Ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of public accounting auditing experience. · CPA or CPA Candidate. · Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, and a “team player”. · Experienced in working in a very deadline-oriented, fast-paced multi-tasking environment while maintaining high level of accuracy. · Outstanding client service and written/verbal communication skills. · Ability to understand complex accounting issues. · Skill in analytical techniques such as sampling, trend, and cost/benefit analysis; developing audit programs to gather evidence through interviews, testing, observation, and research; obtaining understanding of internal controls. · Strong computer skills in a variety of software including MS Office (Word, Excel); experience with Engagement CS and PPC’s SMART e-Practice Aids – Risk Assessment is a plus. |
