JOB DESCRIPTIONExecutive grooming role in fast paced global B2B manufacturer that has more than tripled revenues and profits in last decade through organic growth and 15+ acquisitions. Opening due to promotion. Looking for upside leadership talent with a down-to-earth, proactive and diplomatic approach. Initial role will be to concentrate on the integration of $200+M multi-location piece of business with operations on four continents into a key product grouping. The goal of this role is to be groom for Platform CFO role in 2015 for a $500-600M B2B with global profit centers. Partner with VP/GM, Business Development Director and M&A Director to develop, identify and ensure the appropriate focus on critical financial and operations performance metrics within the business and related actions in order to maximize the business’s financial and operational performance. Partner with SBU controllers to oversee and drive finance and certain business related integration activities including reporting, systems, policies and processes. Initial assignment will require 50% travel to California, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and UK. Once visited travel will be more in the 30-40% range on an annual basis.. Emphasis will be placed on: • Financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting • Systems integration • Accounting practices and policies • Partner on the evaluation of all key business functions (e.g. demand planning, S&OP, inventory, production throughput, supply chain, purchasing, new business development) to identify opportunities for improvement. • Improve profit and margin performance by identifying cost reduction and process improvement opportunities • Identification of working capital improvement opportunities Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the businesses accounting records, financial systems and preparation of timely and accurate monthly operations review packages summarizing key financial and business topics as well as periodic involvement in the monthly operations meetings with the CEO, CFO and VP, Controller. Have oversight and involvement in monthly and quarterly business financial statements and specific account reviews and related summary reports. Partner with SBU controllers to review and analyze annual budgets, strategic plans and monthly forecasts including continued monitoring & review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances and related actions
BS required; CPA or MBA wanted. Ideal candidate might have been groomed by national CPA firm or Fortune 1000 manufacturer; must have experience as an experience Finance Manager or Controller of a multi-location manufacturer.. Important is experience with best practices & process efficiencies, ideally including acquisition integrations. International and multi-cultural business experience is essential.
