Global publicly traded corporation seeks VP to lead internal Audits of their Information Systems processes. The hired candidate will gain broad exposure across firm businesses and related infrastructures, tasked with developing best practices for Audits integrating concepts from IT, financial, SOX and emerging regulatory frameworks to ensure sound risk control environment across the corporation.
JOB DESCRIPTION• Oversee and approve yearly audit plans, including scope of overall process and special projects to resolve identified control risks. Lead the execution of standard audit processes impacting ongoing firm business activities. • Develop robust understanding of businesses served and foster relationships with key business stakeholders to enhance risk identification process. Regularly meet with audit clients to review initial understanding of operations/business, audit findings on processes failing to meet reporting requirements and gain insight to management changes impacting audit processes. • Manage each engagement including planning and reporting audit results. • Continuously drive best practices for approach and execution of integrated audits. • Manage and mentor staff of up to 10 and coordinate relationships with consultants or other 3rd party participating in audit process. Provide regular training/coaching on audit standards as well as regular evaluation of subordinates performance
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree with approximately 12+ years of experience, ideally combining big 4 public accounting with related industry leadership experience. CISA, CPA or relevant industry certification required. • Expertise across SOX Frameworks, information technology systems and infrastructures. • Ability to project manage within our function and across the company, while multi-tasking. • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
