Manager of Tax and Treasury, Thomasville, GA (Southern GA), up to $125K $250M privately held manufacturing company, 10 locations around US , Mexico, Canada and China Targeting 7-12 years in a manufacturing environment Client will pay full relocation for this position since it is a critical position. They pay $10,000 for homeowners or $5,000 to renters to be used however he would want to spend it, i.e. for house hunting visits, meals, temporary lodging, etc. They also pay the moving costs of personal items up to 24,000 lbs. and Realtor closing costs for homeowners who have to sell their homes. Basic Function: Conducts the Corporate treasury activities which include cash management, tax compliance and preparation, banking relationships, pension investments and general insurance functions of the Corporation. Reviews and analyzes data and devises risk minimization programs. Provides various analyses with respect to employee benefits. This position reports to the CFO.


Essential Duties: •Must provide effective management of subordinates to achieve desired results. •Apprises the Chief Financial Officer of all material issues in the areas of tax, insurance, real estate and benefit costs on a timely basis. •Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside of the Company. •Maintains control over all cash, securities, and financial assets of the organization. •Reviews the cash position of the Corporation daily and plans for maintenance of adequate funds through cash and other financial forecasts to meet outstanding and planned commitments. •Oversees the Corporation's tax function including state and federal income and state sales tax planning and return preparation. Coordinates with the Company’s outside tax preparer to complete returns in a timely manner. •Assists CFO with sale of excess real estate. •Maintains necessary relationship with banks and other financial institutions. Provides for administration of lines of credit accounts in appropriate banks. •Assist CFO in ensuring all credit lines for the Company are appropriate. •Maintains adequate and suitable insurance or self-insurance programs, and makes recommendations for the purpose of maintaining or improving the insurability of Corporate property. •In conjunction with insurance companies and other company staff, monitors products liability claims and prepares necessary data to secure or maintain insurance coverage. •Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in efficient and cost effective manners. •Ensure staff adheres to Company policy and procedure. •Oversee Treasury Analyst. •Other duties as directed.


Qualifications: Education Required: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Experience Required: 7 years or more of related experience Preferred Skills: •At least 3 years previous experience of successfully managing a team required. • Attributes necessary to meet this position’s needs may include communications, motivation, team building, employee involvement, diplomacy, delegating, etc. skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm. •Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other software/ERP programs (IFS experience preferred). •Flexibility to work on special projects and unexpected events while completing routine tasks on a timely basis. •Demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees in a team-oriented environment. •Demonstrated ability to find better and more efficient ways of doing things. •Flexible/adaptive to change. •Creative problem solver. •Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information. •Inspires and motivates others to perform well, and accepts feedback from others. •Well organized, dependable, punctual, and strong work ethic. •Strong analytical skill set, including the ability to analyze a problem and develop meaningful solutions. •Must possess leadership capability and the ability to understand the motives and objectives of the Corporation and communication/interpersonal skills to effectively carry out responsibilities, and to develop and motivate others. •Must possess and apply intellect, judgment and management skills to achieve required results. •Possess the intellect, judgment, and emotional maturity necessary to successfully manage and lead a Corporate responsibility of this size, complexity and nature. •Must have ability to routinely travel, generally by air and utilization of a rental car, while conducting position responsibilities; including the ability to handle luggage normal to business travel of varying length duration.
