Job Description:
Parent company is a USA based, NYSE-listed worldwide manufacturer with record revenues and profits in 2013. New role created by growth. Will report to GM of a $200+M group with manufacturing operations in Europe, Far East and the Americas. Business group is B2B and make-to-order with strong margins and growth expectations through new products, increased volume with existing customers, and acquisitions. This is a high visibility financial business partner at the group P/L level. Opening due to promotion. Group primarily targets industrial markets (e.g. aerospace, alternative energy, automotive, medical, OEM, telecommunications). Support the financial wellness and strategic growth of an expanding $700+M group with 20 manufacturing sites in Far East, Europe and the Americas. Initial role will be to the financial and business lead on an acquisition with plants in China, Germany, Mexico, UK, and USA. This will require 50-70% travel for 6-9 months in 2014 to be hands-on and lead integration projects (for example): • Partner with IT to migrate software from shared services (former parent) to Oracle (e.g. A/P, cash) • Establish new financial reporting, controls and processes; this includes international GAAP • Evaluate and integrate operational accounting (e.g. product costing, inventory accounting) • Establish budgets, strategic plans, short term forecasting and business metrics • Facilitate taxes and treasury transfer to corporate • Partner on operational (e.g. R&D, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) changes • Partner on sales and marketing to support existing and new business • Review contracts (vendors and customers) • Coordinate with corporate on SOX compliance Beyond leading the integration (key initial emphasis), • Be a business partner to Group GM on financial and operating results, KPIs, budgets, and strategic plans. • Be a business partner to SBU GMs and key leadership (e.g. supply chain, R&D) on everything from new business development and vendor contracts to cost reductions, business planning and margin variance analysis. • Lead and mentor SBU Controller to ensure financial integrity and performance • Contribute on due diligence and integration of future acquisitions • Partner on validation of product costs and margin targets • Focus on critical financial and operations performance metrics and make presentations to executive team • Lead projects that will improve business efficiencies, processes and profits • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting records and financial systems • Oversee, review and analyze annual budgets and strategic plans as well as monthly forecasts • Be actively involved in business operations including key vendor and customer contracts, process improvements, product development, capital expenditures, supply chain, inventory management, and business compliance.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: BS required; MBA or CPA wanted. Seek 12+ years of business experience with last 3+ years in a financial leadership role of a multi-plant (multi-SBU) with operations in Far East that targets aerospace, alternative energy, automotive, medical, motion control, or robotics industries.
