Job Description:
Reporting to the ISO Settlements Manager in Houston, this position is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate settlements with the Texas Transaction & Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs). Manage and ensure timely and accurate settlements of the Texas TDSP invoices for all residential lines of business. • Ensure continued ability to perform TDSP Settlements for any and all Market Mergers & Acquisitions, New Product Lines, New Vendors, and Platform Migrations. • Manage all TDSP day to day activities, market correspondences, and vendor relations. • Ensure cost avoidance of late payment charges and additional collateral. • Prepare and distribute the weekly TDSP Cash Flow Forecast. • Support the month-end accounting close processes for the entire Accounting Shared Service Center. • Performance of process and control improvements on an ongoing basis. • Support the design and implementation of special projects as required. • Prepare TDSP related COGS analyses for internal and external auditors. • Provide associated settlements support to all internal and external business units including: AP, AR, Gross Margins, Operations, IS, Regulatory, Treasury, M&A, Offshore Services, Audit, Portfolio Management, Pricing, DE Upstream, Texas Market Advocacy , the TDSP’s, and Ercot. • Manage all related settlements activities for Renewable Energy Credits (REC’s).
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: Accounting or finance degree required. • 3 + years of Texas retail energy or wholesale experience; with emphasis on accounting and finance experience. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills required. • Must be able to perform functions with limited supervision. • Flexible operating style required, including the ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic and changing work environment. • Advanced Excel skills required. • SAP experience preferred. • Intermediate to moderate SQL & MS Access database skills preferred. • Excellent communications skills required, both written and oral.
