• Primarily responsible for the preparation of state and local income/franchise tax returns and preparation of estimated/extension tax payments • Calculate state and local apportionment, bonus depreciation and various calculations related to state and local income taxes • Assist with various state and local notices and respond to the jurisdiction in a timely and efficient manner • Collect Data in responding to state and local income and franchise tax audits • Responsible for the preparation of some state and local components of quarterly FAS 109 and FIN 48 accruals, including calculation of state related book to tax differences, conducting state tax account reconciliations and working on the monthly FLUX report • Responsible for gathering, organizing, calculating and correctly utilizing data from multiple general ledger and accounting systems • Assist business units with state income tax issues that may arise and assists management on special projects • Assist in the preparation of accounting entries for the Company’s fiscal and period closings. • Perform necessary daily tasks to accomplish department objectives such as reviewing for accuracy and approving journal entries, check requests, ACH debits, credits, wires, and any other type of payment method. • Aid the department with internal audit processes, procedure documentation, and SOX compliance. • Tax research and analysis of Internal Revenue Code or other statutory and case law using internet tax software • Reconciliation of state and local income taxes payable accounts • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of the federal and state tax laws and regulations, accounting and related application of such, and exercise a high level of independent judgment within established systems and procedures • Identify tax savings opportunities throughout the tax return process • Ability to work with limited supervision


• Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in the preparation of federal corporate and state income tax compliance experience in business or industry • Experience with corporate tax software such as: -Corptax -Tax Dimensions • Experience with Lawson General Ledger • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in accounting or finance • CPA certification preferred
