Job Description:
Provide accurate, reliable and timely measurement of the Bank’s exposure to market risk appropriate to management and policy decisions and regulations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Prepare periodic reports and in-depth analyses of the Bank's risk exposure and impacts of tactical and strategic alternatives for managing those exposures. 2.Prepare and verify daily/monthly market data and securities information for risk model. Perform ASC 815 prospective test and hedge effectiveness analysis. Prepare various market risk analysis reports. 3.Identify and gather market information and check the validity of the information with multiple market sources. 4.Research intrabank data to ensure data consistency and perform ad hoc analysis in support of overall risk management strategies. 5.Perform and coordinate project assignments with counterparts in the Information Technology, Treasury, Financial Operations, Accounting, Credit, Lending and other appropriate areas of the Bank as required.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: 1. Bachelor's degree in quantitatively oriented discipline related to risk measurement. (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Math, etc.) 2. 3-5 years of increasingly responsible work experience related to financial risk measurement. 3. Conceptual, analytic and information technology skills appropriate to financial risk measurement and related accounting practices. 4. Excellent interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills combined with ability to plan, organize and carry out multiple project assignments.
Preferred Qualifications: Advance degree preferred. PLEASE NOTE: This person will do daily research and updating of numbers in systems and spreadsheets for the Sr. Risk Analysts to use in their valuations.
