This personal trust administration position with a stable community bank is open due to an upcoming voluntary retirement.
Job Description:
This position with the trust department of a community bank is due to the retirement of a long-time employee. As personal trust officer, you will work strictly with individual accounts - trusts, investment agencies, IRA's, and custody accounts. There is a possibility for estate administration. Relationships range from small up to a $20 million asset relationship. You will be the main contact for the customer bringing in the investment officer or lending / banking officer as needed. You will develop new business through existing business; networking with the internal centers of influence in the bank (branch managers, lenders); and networking with external centers of influence (CPA's, attorneys). There will be some travel but overnight travel is not the norm.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: You will have ties to North Dakota or be from that region (MN, SD, WY, MT, etc.) of the country. You will have fiduciary experience, relationship management skills, new business skills and an understanding of investments. You will have a minimum of five to ten years experience. An undergraduate degree is preferred but experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: A CTFA is preferred.
