CFO is a center stage role within an expanding subsidiary of $1B+ corporation. Multi-location manufacturer with operations in North America; SBU amongst global operating units is seeking a high quality financial leader. SBU had 10+% organic growth in revenues each year along with defined acquisition strategy over the past 3 years and enjoys solid gross margins and EBITDA. Future acquisitions on the horizon. Company success is due to proactive leadership; long term relationships with OEMs; lean initiatives; diverse customer mix; product ingenuity; and quality of customer care.
JOB DESCRIPTIONChief Financial Officer will be a business partner to SBU President to $150M+ business and be a resource to leadership that supports high quality products for global OEMs. Key responsibilities are to lead all GAAP financial reporting, general accounting (A/P, A/R), cost, inventory accounting, credit, operating/capital budgeting, metrics/financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning within a matrix organization. Be supported by SBU Financial and Operations Controllers, and staff while partnering with sales, manufacturing, marketing, engineering, sourcing, and human resources to drive business results. Lead a team of 8+ high quality financial professionals. Company is progressive, responsive, and resourceful. Examples of key projects and goals include: • Partner to support 8%+ organic growth as well as evaluate potential acquisitions • Review all new product introductions with cross functional leadership regarding pricing, costs, margins, and capacity. • Complete evaluation of ERP solutions with consideration for a new ERP system. • Evaluate all manufacturing and distribution centers globally to ensure maximization of throughput and evaluate opportunity for cost reductions. • Complete assessment of general accounting functions with consideration to a shared service function. • Ensure that all operations are SOX compliant. • Ensure policies and procedures are current in support of corporate, federal and state requirements. • Enhance business metrics/intelligence data to support SBU and corporate decision makers. • Review all cost drivers and inventory activity to ensure greatest margins and profitability.
BS required; CPA or MBA wanted. Must be a Controller or VP Finance within a multi-location manufacturing division that serves global customers with revenues of $100M+. Must be operationally focused with strong accounting underpinning. Strong leadership capability with a history of directing staff. Candidates with success managing the financial affairs of manufacturing operations in Mexico and China will rise above the rest. Hands on experience with JDE, Oracle, or SAP is a plus. Must be willing to travel 10%. Ideal talent groomed by Stanley Works, 3M, Honeywell, Ingersoll Rand, IBM, GE and UTC ideal!
