JOB DESCRIPTIONProfitable, make-to-order manufacturer with strong backlog and commitment to grow organically and through acquisitions. Center stage role with total responsibility for all IT functionality with emphasis on engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and business administration applications. OPPORTUNITY: Report to COO and partner across total business and with external vendors. Company has recently implemented new ERP solution and seeks a hands-on IT leader to key on further development of manufacturing applications, reporting, and metrics. Key functionality is as follows: • Application Development & Utilization: Ensure all modules are installed correctly and train users on reporting and resources. For example, order management…there are 30+ open orders on the manufacturing floor at any one time. Need a strong interest and understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain applications. Must be able to partner, develop reports and customized solutions, and troubleshoot data requests for users on order management, capacity planning, inventory control, materials management, procurement, cost reporting, and so on. • IT Administration: Will be responsible for IT related matters either directly or thorough 3rd party resources. This will include phone systems, networks, web support, PC support, routers, security, disaster recovery, data storage, technology upgrades, etc. • IT Optimization: be the "guiding light" to the organization in the area of information technology ideas, education and implementation. Will evaluate new technology and e-business opportunities (i.e. EDI, E-Procurement, EFT)
BS/BA wanted. Most important is a history as a hands-on IT Manager or Director with in depth knowledge with manufacturing applications implementation and support. Experience with any of the following is a plus: INFOR, JobBoss, MAPICS, MAS 90, MFG PRO, Navision, QAD, Syteline, or Visual Manufacturing. Any experience supporting CAD technology is a plus
