Global business; owned by private equity; looking for domestic and international expansion as well as acquisitions. Report to CFO
JOB DESCRIPTIONEmpowering role within a global setting. Private equity infused capital equipment manufacturer with expanding sales/service operations. Revenues and profits are at record highs; growth opportunities are a combination of geographically expansion, new product offerings, and acquisitions. Report to CFO; partner with leadership at corporate and SBUs in Americas, Asia, and Europe. Lead a global team of 20-25. Team with treasury, legal, tax and IT. Key responsibilities and projects are as follows: • Global Accounting: Oversee global consolidation, reporting, financial statement disclosure, analysis and financial interpretation of operational results; analyze intercompany transactions. • Budget: Develop annual plant budget; report on actual vs. budget throughout the year • FP&A: Analyze revenues and expenses for multiple profit centers; develop forecasts and projections; analyze trends and variances; develop metrics and present to leadership. • Operational Accounting: Partner with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to review product development, productivity & profitability metrics, lean manufacturing, process improvements, inventory, material costs, in/out sourcing initiatives, make vs. buy initiatives, freight/packaging costs, capital expenditures, logistics, sales/service agreements, etc. • Acquisitions: Assist on due diligence and integration strategies and execution • Process Improvements: Evaluate opportunities for improvement; be a leader/adviser on kaizen events • Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks to annual and strategic business plan; be liaison to external auditors • ERP: Contribute on the planning and implementation of a new ERP system.
BS reqd; MBA or CPA wanted. Seek 10+years of business experience that includes hands-on financial leadership of manufacturing operations in Europe and Asia. Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills; must have a consultative (value-adding) style and entrepreneurial spirit. Must have the ability to communicate persuasively and effectively and manage multiple priorities in an intense, deadline driven environment. Must be willing to travel 25-30% globally.
