We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager with 8+ years of experience who is proactive, self-starting and detail oriented. The Senior Accounting Manager will also have strong analytical and reasoning abilities and the ability to see the “big picture”. Must be comfortable with interacting with Executive and Senior Management and have a high level of professionalism.
JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities: • Support and supervise all of the Payroll functions. • Manage and maintain general ledger for corporate location, including month, quarter and year-end closing process and preparation of monthly management reporting. • Interact with and support the related but separately managed functions of accounts receivable, cost accounting, FP&A, international accounting, SEC reporting and SOX compliance. • Consolidate and prepare monthly financial statements. • Assist with technical accounting projects, research and document and actively participate in the SEC reporting process. • Manage Census/sales and use tax/various state reporting processes and ensure timely and accurate filings. • Serve as primary contact for external auditors and manage the process of providing them with required data for the audit. • Lead the activity to improve current financial close timeline and reporting processes and content. • Prepare and execute policies and procedures. • Engage, motivate and inspire both team and cross-functional relationships. Mentor staff to ensure future growth.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or economics required. • Minimum of 8 years related accounting experience required. • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, ERP systems) • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a deadline oriented environment. • A team player with a strong focus on customer service • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized. • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to perform multifaceted projects while completing normal activities.
• Big 4 public accounting experience and 3-4 years of industry experience preferred • CPA preferred
