JOB DESCRIPTIONReport to Finance leader and partner with Accounting, IT, Operations, Subsidiary Controllers and Corporate as you look at 100+ ongoing capital projects to determine variance to budget on a monthly basis. Be a business partner to project managers to explain these variances and keep the projects on budget, while updating the accounting systems to reflect any changes. Help develop operating and capital budgets, conduct benchmarking for strategic planning, analyze KPI (key performance indicators) business metrics, headcount/staffing analysis and related costs and trending and participate in a variety of special projects. Support annual operating budgets/forecasts and strategic plans. Assist in determining profit “drivers” (indicators for key performance area metrics of the business), prepare “what if” analyses, metrics analysis, capital project evaluations using ROI and DCF methodologies, and monitor the performance of the division. Review all capital projects, % of completion spending to budgets by project along with cash flow analysis and variances. Assist with developing detailed models and evaluate revenues streams, costs, SG&A expenses, capital and manpower needs. Assist in the improvement of processes and internal controls.
BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA or in process. Ideally groomed in public accounting or private industry. Bright, articulate professional with executive presence is best suited. Strong Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills. ERP systems experience a plus (i.e. JDE, SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle) Must be self-directed and an excellent communicator. Experience within a business that has over $150 million in revenues.
