JOB DESCRIPTIONHealthy multi-plant B2B manufacturer with over 1,000 customers in North America. Company is reinvesting in infrastructure and ambitious about growth. CFO has a mentoring personality and looking for a self-motivated and hands-on leader that wants to partner closely with operations, supply chain, sales, IT, and HR. 2012 was a year of double digit growth in revenues primarily driven by business development. CFO has a long list of short and long range projects to improve productivity and quality of data. Lead a team of 7-8 in general and operational accounting. Key to this role is a financial leader/doer who can initiate and manage process improvements, has a pulse on the business (strong analytical skills), can manage effectively, and will get into the details when required and necessary. Want a hands-on contributor that is consciously looking at ways to improve working capital, provide business analytics, and identify opportunities for improvement. Key responsibilities and involvement will include: Financial Reporting: Want to improve the closing process and provide additional metrics/KPIs; will be responsible for flash forecasts and monthly consolidation and P/L reporting. General Accounting: Will supervise A/R, A/P, P/R, fixed assets, general accounting, reconciliations, and account analysis. Company will be looking at new software to upgrade accounting processes in 2nd half of 2013. Cash Forecast & Reporting: Will supervise daily cash reconciliations and prepare cash forecasts. Will strategize with CFO and sales on opportunities to improve working capital. Operational Accounting: Will supervise cost accounting and validate accounting & variances for labor, material usage, inventory turns, downtime, quality/rework, shipping costs, scrap, RM, shipping, etc. Financial Analysis: Analyze key accounts and metrics (i.e. A/R, shipments, inventory on hand, overhead). Will assist on annual budget process and analyze results to budget to determine reasons for variances.
CPA or MBA required. Must have a successful history as a Controller or Assistant Controller within a multi-plant or multi-division manufacturer that endorses process improvement and has revenues over $50M and under $400M. Experience must include experience in all areas listed above.
