Advertising Conglomerate seeks Manager of external reporting and policy. The ideal candidate has experience managing the preparation of SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K) and shows an interest in advertising. The candidate will support the establishment and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures and address accounting issues.


Responsibilities: • Head the preparation and review of the Company’s SEC reporting (Annual Reports, 10-K’s and 10-Q’s) • Support technical accounting issues to develop and improve accounting policy, procedures and financial controls. • Deliver thorough reports to senior management, auditors, and other departments. • Function as the contact with external auditors for the review and audit of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures. • Coordinate deliverables from various groups to complete financial statements and disclosures. • Analyze similar public companies’ disclosures to improve reporting practices • Act as a mentor and teacher for team members. • Work closely with the Disclosure Committee and Corporate Legal Department for the each SEC periodic filing. • Perform and oversee XBRL tagging and document submission • Develop better and more efficient external financial reporting for the company to emulate. • Communicate new accounting and reporting standards to senior management, while incorporating SEC filings. • Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audit


Qualifications: • Accounting degree and CPA • 5-7 years SEC reporting and technical accounting experience with some big 4 experience highly sought • Hard working, organized and strong attention to detail. • Good technical PC skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Exposure to Hyperion, SAP, Webfiling, and XBRL a plus
