JOB DESCRIPTION

Global parent with record revenues and profits. Multi-plant division serving OEMs globally. Opening due to another promotion. Opportunity to expand skill set and gain financial, operational, and leadership experience within a best practices setting where finance is a critical partner on all strategic and tactical initiatives. Ideal for a promotable Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager with a bright future. Current Controller started as Finance Manager in 2010; has been promoted in 2011 to Controller, and is responsible for grooming his replacement targeting 2014. Within a world class make-to-contract manufacturing setting, supervise 3-4, partner across total business environment and be responsible for: • General accounting through month end close including journal entries and reconciliations • Partner with Controller on monthly financial reporting package which includes variance analysis, actuals, short term forecasts, and operating review. • Business analysis reporting (e.g. variances that impact P/L and B/S, working capital, operational metrics). • Short term forecasting and annual budgeting; assist on development of strategic plan • Operational accounting, maintain standard costs, price increases, and inventory valuation Participate on a wide range of projects to gain knowledge of the business and partner with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, sales, marketing, quality, IT, HR, and procurement. Examples are: • Improve working capital through better management of DSO, DPO, and inventory • Evaluate impacts on margins to support pricing and cost containment • Partner with Corporate IT on upgrades in ERP and Hyperion reporting • As the finance partner, contribute on quality, cost reduction and productivity process improvement initiatives • Participate on negotiations of vendor contracts

QUALIFICATIONS

BS in Accounting required; CPA or MBA a plus. Seek 4-8 years of business experience that includes either public accounting or financial/operational accounting experience within a progressive manufacturing or distribution setting. Experience must include month end financial reporting, analysis, and strong Excel skills. Any experience with ERP and/or Hyperion software is a plus
