Job Description:
Our successful client located midway between Georgetown and Temple Texas seeks a highly motivated, experienced accounting professional to fill its accounting/ assistant controller position. This individual will be responsible for the ongoing finance/accounting at the company. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited) to the following: •Financial statement reporting and general ledger management. You will be responsible for the following: Month-end close, general ledger including all journal entries, reconciliation of multiple accounts (i.e. bank and general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions and collection follow-up as necessary, payroll (in-house utilizing QuickBooks) and associated filings, sales tax reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual compilation of information, cash flow reports and so on. •Analysis of company financial information •Business planning and budgeting ( work with business leaders to compile the information they provide into a workable document) •Coordination with outside auditors and tax accountants The ideal candidate for this position must be hands-on and willing to do the work. Preferred requirements include a CPA (may be negotiable depending on experience), a minimum of a four year degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university and several years professional work experience in accounting. Additional requirements include: •Thorough knowledge of GAAP •Proficient experience with QuickBooks software suite •Experience in a Human Resources or benefits administration a plus •Bilingual skills (English / Spanish) are a plus
