Job Description:
Our client, a rock solid financial organization poised for accelerated growth, is looking to add a key member to its accounting and finance department. This is the number two position in the department, which will manage the accounting and financial reporting functions on a day to day basis. Being a member of the executive management team you will be involved in strategic and operational decisions. Within the next few years when the CFO retires the successful candidate will have the opportunity to move into the number one position. Because the hired person will play an important role in providing for a smooth interface with the consumer and commercial banking departments, a solid operations background is required. This is especially true for the retail side, as the company is in the process of building out an enhanced suite of retail services. The hired person will also immediately be instrumental in implementing and transitioning to a new operating platform
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: Successful candidates will have a minimum of 10-15 years of increasing accounting and financial responsibility within a bank or credit union environment. Individuals need to be conversant in internal and regulatory reporting. The hired person will have had some direct experience in working with or supporting retail and consumer operations and products to include debit and credit cards, ATM’s, checking accounts, consumer loans, and the like. Candidates will have an undergraduate degree in accounting or finance, and ideally will have a CPA. The hired person must have good management experience and strong interpersonal skills.
