|Our client is looking for a passionate tax professional to lead a team in the management of the company’s sales, use, and excise tax planning, compliance, and audit defense strategies. You will have the opportunity to work in several different markets and departments while assuring the company is in full compliance with state and local tax laws in a least-cost manner. Duties and Requirements Include: • In Mmanaging the sales tax, use, and excise tax costs will typically exceed millions of dollarsof approximately $10 million annually • In Eexecuting the sales, use, and excise tax planning and, compliance functions you will assure full compliance with state and local tax laws in order minimize taxes • • , GAAP accounting, and the defense of returns on audits to assure full compliance with state and local tax laws in a least cost manner • Lead a team of tax professionals in proposing and communicating major tax policy changes and monitoring implementation of approved changes • Identify, research, present, and implement improvements in tax cost reductions and process improvements • Maintain detailed knowledge of our company’s business, organization changes, accounting practices, and legal management contacts to allow timely identification of issues and opportunities for implementation of change|
|• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field • At least 8 years tax experience with emphasis on sales, use, excise, and payroll tax • Previous supervisor experience|
