Job Description:
The Human Resources Director – International will be responsible for supporting the company’s businesses in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Japan. THE COMPANY Our client is a leading healthcare products company with a global presence in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Our client is a recognized leader among healthcare product manufacturers, with a reputation for innovation, superior quality and world-class production operations. THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is seeking a Human Resources Director - International to support the company’s commercial business overseas. The Human Resources Director – International will be responsible for supporting the company’s businesses in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Japan. The Human Resources Director – International will define, develop and implement a range of strategic HR solutions and programs that complement the company’s overall business strategy. The Human Resources Director – International will be responsible for ensuring that all operational HR services and programs meet the needs of the business in each international region and are fully compliant with corporate guidelines as well as with the regulations or each country and city involved. The Human Resources Director – International will be responsible for hiring and developing the regional HR team. The Director will also actively contribute to defining and building the infrastructure needed to support each standalone organization, as well as lead the definition of each international region’s HR needs from a process, procedure, systems and legal perspective. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for a team of HR employees in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Japan, with about 30% travel expected. 50% initially.
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications - Must Have: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a HR, business or finance related field Masters (Required) • Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in generalist human resources roles working across all aspects of the spectrum, including resourcing, employee relations, leadership development, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational design, project and change management and HR compliance. (Required) • Minimum of 3 to 5 years working in and supporting employees in EMEA. (Required) • Regular travel to LATAM, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Japan is expected to be approximately 25 – 30%.(Required – will be 50% initially) • At least 2 years’ experience supporting at least one of the other regions in LATAM, Asia Pacific and Japan at a senior level, supporting regional leaders business in a multinational organization. (Preferred) • A minimum of five years’ people management experience overseeing 3 or more employees is required, plus some experience of managing teams remotely (Required) • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry and/or within a commercial field is required. (Required) • In addition to English, other language skills is highly preferred with an emphasis in either Spanish, German, Chinese or Japanese. (Preferred) • Professional HRM qualification (eg. SHRM, CIPD) is advantageous. (Preferred) • Strong IT skills, experienced working with HRIS (Workday preferred). (Preferred) Salary range is… • Entry: $ 128,700.00 • Target of $ 160,900.00 • High end $185k • Stock Options – will not be indicated or documented in any way on an offer letter • Relocation is provided.
