Finance and Fund Accounting Associate will be responsible for: performing the day-to-day finance and fund accounting operations of the investment partnerships and accounts managed by the firm
supporting clients’ and the firm’s needs for investment performance information and other analytical data required to effectively manage the funds and run the firm’s business
assisting department management in continuing to maintain and improve the ongoing operating effectiveness of the Fund Finance team.
The role will be involved in the following critical activities:
Daily reconciliation of bank and brokerage accounts.
Liaison between the Firm and underlying investment managers/administrators.
Weekly calculation of performance of underlying portfolio fund investments.
Obtaining and reviewing of assets under management of underlying managers/portfolio funds.
Assisting in preparation for audits, tax returns and SEC compliance reporting for the various partnerships and companies.
Weekly and monthly calculation and reporting of fund NAV / investment performance results.
Monthly compliance review of objectives and constraints of funds. |
| |
2-6 years of experience. Knowledge of the hedge fund industry A/BS in Accounting/Finance with outstanding academic credentials; applicable coursework or internship in the field of investments or financial markets.
2-6 years of experience working for a financial services firm or top tier accounting firm, with specialization in investment partnerships, hedge funds of funds or mutual funds.
Experience in hedge fund or fund of fund accounting.
Experience with investment partnerships, mutual funds, brokerage firms or investment banks helpful. |
