| RIA Firm Seeks Executive VP/COO to Take Lead Role Alongside the CEO/Founder A growing RIA firm with AUM approaching $200 million seeks a COO who will work with the CEO/founder in developing and implementing the strategies in all areas of the firm necessary to continue its growth trajectory. This is a broad role in a well-respected RIA environment that requires a self-starter, eager to operate within a multi-faceted environment specializing in higher net worth families, including overseeing business development, client service and reporting, recruiting, human resources, insurance, and accounting. The successful candidate will possess the vision to grow the firm beyond its current focus solely on individuals and families. The firm is approaching the point where a roadmap for the future needs to be planned and implemented, including 1) adequately serving a growing client roster, 2) developing and supervising a program to increase AUM, and 3) further enhancing the investment management process The successful individual will have a strong track record working in an investment environment, including: • Top to bottom knowledge of the investment management business, including all aspects of how a first-rate investment management firm is operated on a day-to-day basis. • Extensive experience not only in identifying opportunities to enhance the various functional areas of the firm, but also hands on implementation. • A high standard for integrity and ethical conduct that has been the hallmark of the firm – always putting each client’s interest above the firm’s. • A strategic thinker who has the vision to see how the firm should develop in the future and who can identify, attract, and motivate the staff necessary to implement and achieve the vision. The candidate should possess the experience and the vision to enable the firm to grow AUM. The firm now serves a single market – individuals and families. The COO will work with the CEO and other staff to evaluate other potential market segments which may include: endowments, corporate investment accounts, foundations, employer defined benefit plan investments, small employer 401(k) and 403(b) plans, managing investments for clients of other RIAs or financial planners, and possibly acquiring other RIA firms . The potential is limited only by the foresight of the COO. |
