Global corporation has decided to make New Haven County the center of their universe and establish a shared accounting services center of excellence. High visibility role requiring hands-on leadership, best practices, strong project management skills, and a personality that can gain acceptance on change and evolution. Company has more than doubled their revenues, profits, and value of stock in last five years. OPPORTUNITY: Although there exists pockets of shared services, CFO is looking for a hands-on leader that create a going forward strategy and implement that strategy to support existing worldwide operations and future organic growth and acquisitions. Be viewed as a business partner and resource, process strategist, and problem solver. As the leader of shared services, create a vision, processes, methodologies and deliverables to support payroll, accounts payable, T&E, and P-card activities. This will require alignment with international profit centers in Europe, Far East, and Latin America as well as domestic operations. Develop and implement annual operating plans with financial targets consistent with long-range strategic plans and initiatives to support efficiency and cost reduction. Partner with Supply Chain to establish consistencies on global requisition processes; lead the planning and implementation of a new document imaging system; lead implementation of ERP upgrades; integrate multi-country acquisitions into a global shared service model; establish goals and performance metrics for shared services in the Western Hemisphere. Be responsible for metrics and KPIs; partner on initiatives to optimize processes and resolve problems; establish standard operating procedures and controls for all shared service center areas. Will lead and build a small but high quality team.


BS required; CPA or MBA a plus. Seek 5+ years of leadership within an international shared service setting that is known for best practices. Must be hands-on and willing to bounce from problem resolution in a global setting to creating/implementing strategy. Must have a history of best practices that improved quality and efficiency of service to global partners. Must be flexible; have excellent communications skills; and be able to travel 15-25% globally.

Preferred Qualifications:
Would ideally like someone from a manufacturing or dostribution business model; this is a hands-on role that will supervise 7-10 people but must be a leader and contributor rather than an administrator. Experience with SAP is a plus
