| This client is looking for promotable talent to be groomed for bigger financial leadership roles. Parent company is global and considered to be in the Top 100 best companies to work for. Revenues, profits, and value of stock has tripled over last 8 years. SBU (Strategic Business Unit) is located just North of Dayton off I-75 and manufactures technology based components sold to global OEM markets. Report to Divisional VP Finance and dotted line to Managing Director of the SBU. Initially supervise 2 and be viewed as a business partner and resource to all segments of a $12-15M profit center that expects to grow by 20-25% over next 12-18 months organically. Be responsible for general ledger preparation, financial reporting, payroll, year end audit preparation and the support of manufacturing accounting, budget, strategic plan and forecast activities. Key opportunities for improvements include: • Improve the speed and accuracy of financial reporting package including appropriate analysis and commentary • Develop processes to reduce inefficiencies, control investments, and expand margins • Assist sales and marketing on new business by identifying risks or opportunities • Lead initiatives to improve working capital turns through the reduction of receivables and inventory. • Establish and improve weekly reporting on consolidated orders and shipments for timeliness and accuracy. • Assist on preparation of annual strategic plan and profit plan • Develop and refine business metrics reporting • Analyze manufacturing and product costs; partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to improve margins, quality, on-time delivery, and demand planning….this will include vendor negotiations; lean manufacturing events; supporting new product development; analyzing inventory movement; cost variance analysis; capital expenditures; reviewing distribution costs; validating overhead and absorption,; etc. • Ensuring SOX compliance |

| BS Accounting; CPA, MBA or CMA ideal. Seek 4+ years of public accounting experience (must have audited manufacturing clients) and/or financial/operational accounting experience within a progressive manufacturer (preferably part of a publicly traded business. Most important is a self-motivated and results driven personality with upside who wants to be on the front end of strategy and can be a hands-on manager of all accounting deliverables. |
