| Our client, a leading global investment bank, seeks an accomplished Bank Auditor to manage teams as a VP of Banking Internal Audit. The hired candidate will bring a mix of past public accounting and bank audit experience and employ a strong understanding of banking products and regulations to lead audits critical to the company’s continued success and strong standing with supervisory agencies. |

| Responsibilities: • Develop expertise on Banking Business, its products, and supporting functions • Execute audit testing and supervise junior team members in audits across multiple processes/business including Corporate Governance, Consumer Finance Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Risk management areas (Credit/Operational/Market/liquidity), as well as Consumer Regulatory and BSA/AML compliance. • Ensure audit work performed by junior staff is completed according to firm guidelines • Ascertain risks, evaluate mitigating controls, and make recommendations to improve overall control environment. • Draft audit results and draw effective conclusions to present to department management and internal stakeholders. Continually follow-up on open audit issues and their resolution. • Support team initiatives to improve department infrastructure and associated processes. • Liaise and advise on communications with regulatory supervisor representatives. |

| Experience: • 8-10+ years of experience in a related audit function at a bank, with a start in the big 4/public accounting highly desired. CPA or related certifications a plus. • Bachelors in accounting, finance or related discipline. Graduated degree in relevant area a plus. • Strong expertise with bank products/concepts and associate regulatory pronouncements including traditional lending products, collateral management, communality reinvestment act, regulation W, etc. • Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills • Able leader with team player mentality. |
