| Seeking Senior Staff Accountant for government contractor located near Annapolis, MD. Our client is an established government contractor committed to its mission. Job Responsibilities: •Prepare and post month-end close journal entries. •Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements. •Reconcile G/L accounts and review billed, unbilled and revenue accounts on a monthly basis. •Respond to Controller's monthly financial statements inquiries. •Prepare schedules for audit. •Perform government contract invoicing. •Review A/R aging report and follow up delinquencies. •Post cash receipts and perform monthly bank accounts reconciliation. •Process independent subcontractor payments and monitors contract compliance. •Review billable/reimbursable expenses. •Other duties as assigned. |

| Required Skills: •Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance •At least 3 years of accounting experience •Knowledge of government contracting field (i.e. FAR regulations, DCAA auditing procedures, etc.) •Experience with Excel and Deltek accounting software •Team-player, independent thinker and organization and communication skills •Must be able to keep financial information confidential Great benefits! |
