JOB DESCRIPTIONGreat opportunity for someone with expertise in accounting for net revenues in health care. Description: The Financial Specialist assumes a leadership role within their area of specialty in the Finance Department. The Financial Specialist will interact with all levels of management, including senior management, department directors, department managers, and team members as necessary. The Financial Specialist will lead and/or participate in project teams assembled to achieve Finance Division goals and objectives. As a subject-matter expert, the Financial Specialist will provide the internal resource necessary to maintain and improve the integrity of financial reporting. The Financial Specialist uses professional judgment, provides quality customer service, displays responsibility and ownership for results, exhibits excellent communication/people skills, displays a positive attitude and eagerness to share knowledge, and has the ability to multitask.
HEALTH CARE EXPERIENCE a must. REQUIRED five years experience in accounting, budget, finance or reimbursement. EDUCATION: REQUIRED BA in Accounting or BS in Accounting. REQUIRED Analytical Skills and Computer skill appropriate to position. Seeking a reimbursement candidate as a subject matter expert for a multi-hospital system. This candidate will provide senior management with the financial impact resulting from legislative/regulatory changes to reimbursement. Candidate will also oversee cost report preparation processes and other annual regulatory filings and lead projects related to analysis of net revenue. Or a net revenue candidate who will be a lead contributor to the net revenue month-end close process within a multi-hospital system. Candidate requires knowledge of reimbursement structures for all payors, the flow of transactions from patient accounting system to the GL and impact of changes of governmental and other reimbursement on the financial statements. Candidate will oversee processes and systems to report the trends in net revenue to senior management.
CERTIFICATION: Preferred CPA.
