| The individual must ensure that all loans within their team are being decided in a manner consistent with the Bank’s credit philosophy. Effectively lead a team of credit professionals. Individually adjudicate large, complex credit requests outside the lending authority of their staff, generally between $250,000 and $1,000,000. Advise, counsel, coach and instruct their staff on various aspects of the job. Perform customary human resources functions (hiring performance reviews, etc.). The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the quality of assets booked to the Bank through prudent credit decisions and correct loan structuring, thus minimizing delinquency and loan losses while having a positive impact on the department’s profitability. Oversee and assist in the coordination of collecting non-accruals, past due and problem credits. Assess potential degrees of risk to which Business Banking assets and liabilities are exposed and analyze each to determine if they can be eliminated or minimized. Develop, recommend and administer risk management and loss prevention programs while effectively managing loan delinquency and exposure. Interact with Senior Regional Managers to facilitate the loan process. Monitor their Team’s ongoing performance to ensure service level agreements are being met. Develop, lead, and participate in various department initiatives and projects as appropriate. Interact with all areas of the bank to ensure a high level of customer services. These areas include, but are not limited to: Collections, LDCC, IT, Credit Administration, and Loan Review. |

| • 4 year college degree required, business degree preferred with formal credit training. MBA preferred with concentration in finance or accounting. • 5-15 years of management experience. 10+ years of banking experience, including underwriting large credit requests and experience in workout. 10+ years of Underwriting small business credits. • Aptitude to quickly develop a working knowledge of the Bank’s policy and procedures, and accounting systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems. • Strong leadership and mentoring skills are essential along with the ability to develop and motivate employees. • Proven ability to lead and motivate staff. • Requires being a team player with a dedication to customer services and strong sense of urgency. • The incumbent must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to interact effectively with Executive Management. • Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial analysis required along with formal credit training and thorough understanding of business and personal tax returns and financial statements. • The incumbent must have sound knowledge of legal statutes that pertain to commercial lending including contract and UCC law, collections, compliance, etc. • Expertise in various credit enhancement programs including government programs such as the SB required. |
